D. Seles completed her Doctor of Philosophy degree at the University of Georgia in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is the first African-American to receive a doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia. With over 11 years of experience in speech-language pathology, she has worked extensively in providing rehabilitation services to adults with acquired neurological injuries and in exploring health-related quality of life.
As a speech coach, D. Seles provides strategies and techniques that are individualized to support public speaking, code-switching, and accent modification. Her skilled instruction in these areas promotes confidence, professionalism, and successful communication in the speaker which transcends to a positive listener experience.
As a practitioner, researcher, and lecturer, Dr. Gadson provides resources on functional treatment approaches, health outcomes, and goal-setting strategies to practitioners, clients, and family members.
