Asheville Boss Babes is a special edition radio show with co-hosts CPA, Veronica Edwards and Economic Development Specialist, Johanna Patrice Hagarty. Each episode airs on Biz Radio US’s shows, The Veronica Edwards Show and Art Heroes w/ JPH respectively.

Asheville Boss Babes puts an emphasis on women making a difference in their field of expertise and in their community. We want to provide inspiration, support, and acknowledge the amazing things women are doing in Western North Carolina and all over the world! 

About your host: Veronica Edwards
Veronica has over 17 years of experience in Accounting and Bookkeeping. Veronica is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant and QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. A graduate of University of North Carolina Charlotte earning a Bachelors of Science in Accounting as well as earning a Masters of Accounting from Georgia Southern University. Prior to opening Balanced, Virtually Veronica was employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Newell Rubbermaid, and Milwaukee Electric Tool in various roles that provided experience in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, auditing, SOX (Sarbanes Oxley Act) compliance, and month-end close. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. In her spare time, Veronica enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with her family, and event planning.

About your host: Johanna Patrice Hagarty
Johanna has launched two six-figure companies, helped raise millions of dollars, and has brought hundreds of thousands of people together in efforts to support artists and community development. Her most recent endeavor, Art Hero, LLC focuses on business education, coaching, and consulting services. With a background in Human Services and over 15 years of experience as an Arts and Economic Development Specialist, Marketing Consultant, and Creative Business Coach, Johanna focuses primarily on uplifting under-resourced communities including artists, black and brown individuals, women, and the LGBTQ+ community. 

Johanna’s aim is to activate creative people so that they can use the power of the arts to heal, connect, thrive, and galvanize. Johanna believes that the solutions to many of the world’s problems will come from artists and other creative thinkers. She believes it is past time to give them the tools they need to create an impact; these people are the Art Heroes.
