Charter Pathways through Service - Guest: Wade Rogers
Wade Rogers has 30 years of experience in accounting and finance. A Certified Public Accountant (NC Certificate #33206), Wade is a graduate of Florida State University (Bachelor’s in Accounting) and the University of Illinois (Master’s in Accounting). Wade started his career in the Chicago office of Price Waterhouse, where he was ultimately promoted to audit manager, until moving to management controller positions in the US and France with Pechiney, a multinational aluminum and packaging corporation.
Transitioning to the nonprofit sector, Wade has worked as the controller of the New York-based Samuel H. Kress Foundation, as well as for multiple Asheville nonprofits – both as staff and contractor – including Neighborhood Housing Services and OnTrack Financial Education & Counseling. Since 2016, he has continued to work with the nonprofit sector as a consultant, both independently and with WNC Nonprofit Pathways, and as an instructor in the Duke University Nonprofit Management Program.
He also served as Board Treasurer for Arts for Life, an Asheville-based organization dedicated to supporting pediatric patients and families through arts education and engagement.
