Rika Harrison, founder and board chairman of the Western North Carolina Minority Business Association, has more than 20 years experience working in the private sector, and as an entrepreneur, utilizing her management consultation, team building, professional development, and strategic implementation skills.

She is an advertising rep for the Tribune Papers, an editorial committee member of The Envoy magazine, founder/owner of Pit to Palace Media, and author of the book, Where’s Daddy? 

Rika is also the founder and executive director of the WNC Black Business Expo, an annual conference created to bring together local and regional businesses and entrepreneurs for three days of educational workshops, networking events, and a trade show.

She is a native of Washington, DC, and currently lives in Henderson County, North Carolina. She has been a homeschooler for 16 years.
